Profile Management
Your profile is your identity on YiAiki. Keeping your profile information up to date ensures accurate matching, smooth errand posting, and helps build trust with others on the platform. You can update your personal details, location information, and profile picture at any time.
Accessing Your Profile
- Navigate to your Dashboard (Client or Runner).
- Click on "Profile" in the navigation menu or sidebar.
- You'll see your current profile information displayed.
- Click the "Edit" button to make changes to your profile.
Profile Information You Can Update
- Name: Your full name as displayed on the platform.
- Email: Your email address (used for login and notifications).
- Phone Number: Your contact phone number.
- Profile Picture: Upload or change your profile photo.
- For Clients: State, City, and Neighborhood (location details).
- For Clients: Bio - A short description about yourself (optional).
- For Runners: School information and verification status (managed separately).
- For Runners: Your school's location (city, state, neighborhood) is used as your address on the platform.
Updating Location (Clients Only)
- Location information (State, City, Neighborhood) is important for errand matching and posting.
- Select your State from the dropdown menu.
- Once a state is selected, choose your City from the city dropdown.
- Enter your Neighborhood in the text field.
- These location fields are pre-filled when creating errands, saving you time.
- Keep your location updated if you move to ensure accurate errand matching.
Updating Your Profile Picture
- Click on your current profile picture (or placeholder) in the profile section.
- Select "Upload Photo" or "Change Photo".
- Choose an image file from your device.
- Crop or adjust the image if needed.
- Save your changes.
- Your new profile picture will be visible to other clients and runners.
Saving Profile Changes
- After making changes, click the "Save" button to update your profile.
- You'll see a success message confirming your profile has been updated.
- Changes take effect immediately and are visible to others on the platform.
- You can cancel editing at any time to discard changes.
Why Keep Your Profile Updated
- Accurate location information helps runners find errands near them.
- Up-to-date contact information ensures you receive important notifications.
- A complete profile builds trust with others on the platform.

Profile Visibility
- Your profile information is visible to other clients and runners on the platform.
- Runners can see your name, profile picture, and location when viewing your errands.
- Clients can see runner profiles, ratings, and verification status when reviewing bids.
- Profile information helps both parties make informed decisions.
- You can control what information is displayed through your profile settings.
Important Notes
- Email changes may require re-verification for security purposes.
- Location information is required for posting errands (for clients).
- Profile updates do not affect your verification status (ID verification for clients, school verification for runners).
- Keep your profile picture appropriate and professional.
- Contact support if you need help updating your profile or encounter any issues.
